ACME PANEL COMPANY Announces New Production Line to Expand Capacity and Make Larger JUMBO Sized Structural Insulated Panels
Radford, Virginia, September 15, 2015: ACME PANEL COMPANY today announced the installation of a new 8' x 24' production line that will increase panel manufacturing capacity by 60% and produce larger sizes of Structural Insulated Panels.
Starting immediately, ACME will offer larger sizes in Structural Insulated Panels in two widths. Standard 4' wide panels are now available up to 24' in length; New "Jumbo" 8'wide panels are available in lengths up to 24' length. Larger Panels allow quicker building with less crane sets and require fewer inserts with less thermal bridging. They are ideal for roofs, timber frames, and commercial buildings.
The new line has been certified by National Testing Associates, an independent third party testing agency, to produce panels that are in full compliance with building codes under both the ACME Panel's proprietary Code Report and the 2012 International Residential Building Code.
According to Chief Operating Officer Kevin DiPietro, "Continued growth in our panel business and losts of requests from our customers for larger panels prompted us to make this new investment. It is part of our commitment to provide fast, reliable delivery of Code approved Structural Panels at a competitive price to the Eastern United States."
Headquartered in Southwest Virginia, ACME Panel Company provides everything needed to build with Structural Insulated Panels from blank panels to fully precut packages, along with design and construction support. SIPs are used for walls and roof construction in place of traditional framing to make super- efficient, high quality homes and commercial structures. SIP homes are stronger than conventionally framed houses and regularly use 50 to 60% less energy for heating and cooling, dramatically reducing carbon emissions.
ACME Panel Company also operates America's only structural panel manufacturing plant that is powered by Solar Electricity.
